A new era for “Telenor Easy Paisa” has begin and ATM cards have been made available to Easy Paisa account holders by Telenor Pakistan in partnership with Tameer bank. The issuance of cards has entirely changed the service and now money sent via Easy Paisa can be withdrawn at any One-link ATM across several banks of the country.
“Easy Paisa” got an immense popularity among Pakistanis soon after its initiation. The recent update to the service is seeming to bring major revolutions to the online banking in the country. Before, the Easy Paisa mobile account holders were needed to go at any Easy Paisa retailer with NIC to collect the received money, but now the money can be withdrawn at supported ATMs with extreme easy.
The charges for the card has been set at just Rs. 200. ATM cards can be collected from any branch of Tameer bank or from Telenor Customer and Sales Service Center. Charges for each transaction is Rs. 25. Although the customers will need to bear a transaction fee of Rs. 25 but the change will prove to save a lot of time and will simplify the banking which was bit complicated before.
About the launch of ATM cards for Easy Paisa account holders, Omar Moeen Malik, Head of Strategy for Easy Paisa Telenor Pakistan, said: “Pakistan is now one of the very few countries in the world, where any person with a CNIC can open a free bank account on his Mobile Phone in under two minutes, pick up an ATM card and link it to his account easily.
